Below is an article from yesterday's STAR newspaper. The incident happened in the vicinity of my restaurant on 1st September. In today's world, there's no more safe places. Violence can occur at anytime, anywhere and when you least expected. People are getting more violent & daring in order to achieve something they want.
This incident reminds me of the similar situation(terror) i'd gone through
about 6 years ago. I came back from work one day at around 2am. Got down from my car to unlocked the gates and suddenly there's this guy who came behind me out of nowhere, put his dagger on my throat.
I gave him all my belongings before he asked me to jump into the drain. He then ran off without a trace. Fortunately he did not take my car!
After this incident, i am a totally changed person. I could have been dead by now! Now i learned to appreciate whatever i have in life, enjoy while i can, do whatever that makes me feel happy and thank God that i'm still alive to see the world for another day.
PETALING JAYA: The woman who was shot in the back on Monday is believed to have been the victim of an attempted car theft and may not have realised that she was shot at the time.
The victim’s husband, who wanted to be known only as Wen, said his wife Kay Soo Kee, 45, had gone to a fast food restaurant in Bandar Seri Damansara about 7pm to buy dinner for her four children.
“My wife had difficulty finding a parking space and parked her new Toyota Camry in an alley nearby. After buying the food, she was heading back to the car when a man approached her and demanded the car keys.
“She put up a struggle before the thief fled. She called me immediately after that to tell what had happened.
“I believe she did not realise she had been shot at that time because she didn’t tell me about it,” he said when met at the Sungai Buloh Hospital yesterday.
Kay is currently warded in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
At presstime, she was still unconscious.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said police had yet to arrest any suspect and were investigating the case under Section 3 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971.
During the 7.30pm incident on Monday, Kay was shot once in the back.
The bullet was removed after she underwent an operation
