Pork Knuckles & Sausages

What comes to your mind when you see or hear the word "Bavarian"? I guess most of you out there will think of BMW ( Bavarian Motor Works ). Indeed, Bavaria is a state in Germany, in the southeast. The name "Bavarian" ("Baiuvari") means "Men of Baia" which may indicate Bohemia, the homeland of the Marcomanni.

I'd come across this restaurant at The Curve many times, Bavarian Bierhaus and i thought it was just a typical bar until i read some reviews about it. After dining at O'briens during tea time, my friends and i decided to eat at Bavarian Bierhaus for dinner.

We ordered their famous, "must try" Roasted Pork Knuckles and Mix combo of sausages ( 6 types )It took the 4 of us to "chaw" down all of it. However we did not try any of their German beers especially Paulaner...maybe next time! All of us were driving and there was a pregnant lady, so no alcohol for us that night.

Roasted Pork Knuckle...yummy! skin texture was similar to "siew yuk". Anyways the bacon strips were excellent!

The mix sausage combo. some were really huge! Looks like a plate full of "s**t" but nonetheless it was really good & tasty especially the second one from the left and the huge one, right on top!

Overall it was quite an interesting dining experience, minus the beer :-( However the price was quite expensive. With the 2 main dishes along with 4 drinks it cost us a whooping RM190. I'd probably return only for the German beer...during Octoberfest!
